Diversity and Inclusive Excellence

At the University of Pacific it is our belief that diversity and inclusion are essential to the fulfillment of our institutional mission. Diversity is an indispensable component of academic excellence.  It enriches the educational experience by allowing all of us to share knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and understand new perspectives and ideas that are grounded in all of the ways we are different and unique.

The Diversity Leadership Team (DLT) has finished analyzing and synthesizing all the feedback from last semester's forums and conversations with several individuals and groups, which it incorporated into the first draft of its Prioritization Plan. This Plan is now available on the DLT SharePoint site for the University community to review and provide feedback.

Also available for review on the SharePoint site is a draft proposal of the University Diversity Committee membership and charge. The DLT asks that faculty, staff and students provide feedback on this draft proposal to their respective governing bodies.
