Service Disruption Update

Updated Tuesday, May 30th at 4 p.m.

Due to a power failure in the University Data Center on May 16th, University of the Pacific experienced technology service disruptions.  

To address the issues encountered, Pacific Technology created a three phased approach to continue the recovery and restoration of services.  The approach is defined as follows:

Phase 1 - Recovered Service Completion - end of May - all systems functioning and accessible. Complete.

Phase 2 - Normal Service Performance - end of June - all services are operating at pre-outage performance targets. Started May 30th.

Phase 3 - Future Service Improvement - end of August - a plan is developed to implement preventive and sustained services.

Tiger Jobs application through insidePacific is now operational.  

CashNet cash registers are now fully functional.

Be assured of our commitment to implement changes that minimize the risk of a similar event occurring in the future and to make every effort to restore services to their full capacity as soon as possible.
